Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide.^1,2

There were over 1.4 million men diagnosed globally in 2022.¹ The prostate is a small gland that sits underneath the bladder and grows larger as you get older. The main function of the prostate is to produce semen, the fluid that carries sperm.^3-6

Prostate cancer usually develops slowly and there may be no signs or symptoms.^5-7 Knowing if you may be at risk can help identify early signs of cancer. If there is a problem, the sooner it is identified then the more your doctor can do.

It can sometimes feel uncomfortable speaking to your doctor about your prostate because of where it sits in the body or the role it plays in sexual and reproductive health but prioritising your health and well-being and understanding if there is a problem is important. There are many things in life we would never miss – whether that is a wedding, a school play or even a sports game.
